The Grove
Welcome to Osteria.
Osteria Grove sits beneath the 13th-century church of San Quirico e Giulitta in Ruballa, overlooking the hills surrounding Florence and Brunelleschi's dome in the distance.
The grove is home to 262 Moraiolo olive trees, growing in a compact hillside landscape shaped by exposure, soil, and time.
These conditions produce oils with intensity, structure, and a distinct sense of place rooted in a single varietal.

Restoration
Abandoned Grove began caring for Osteria in 2020.
The grove had been abandoned for nearly twenty-five years following a fire that left the landscape damaged and overgrown. Over time, vegetation reclaimed the land and the trees were left without care.
Restoration required patient, deliberate work. Overgrowth was cleared, trees were carefully pruned, and the grove was allowed to recover its natural balance over multiple seasons.
The first harvest was intentionally delayed to allow the trees to regain strength. In 2023, Osteria returned to harvest for the first time in nearly three decades.
