Olive harvest in the Tuscan hills

Guard a Tree in Tuscany

Guardianship links you to a rescued olive tree in a specific grove, making exceptional extra virgin olive oil possible. Each season, its harvest returns to your table.

When a grove comes back, everything connected to it does too.

More than 5,000 abandoned olive trees restored to harvest across six Tuscan groves.

How Guardianship Works

Begin with a Tree

Guardianship begins with a single tree in one of our restored Tuscan groves. From there, the seasons do the rest.

Part of the Work

The groves require year-round care. Pruning, soil work, harvest, the thousand decisions that shape what ends up in the bottle. Your guardianship is what makes that work possible, season after season.

Life in the Grove

Each harvest brings its own oil, shaped by that season and no other. Around it, the life of the grove unfolds: letters from the field, tastings, gatherings, and moments at the table shared with those who care for the same land.

Limited by Nature

Each grove contains a finite number of trees. Guardianship follows the biological limits of the land. When every tree has found its guardian, the grove closes and its harvest remains with those who care for it.

Care for four trees and deepen your participation in the grove each harvest.

Your Tree. Your Grove. Your Harvest.

Every guardian is linked to a specific tree in a specific grove. Geo-tagged and photographed, it has a location, a variety, and a history you can follow through every season.

A digital certificate marks your place in the grove. An optional handcrafted olive wood nameplate marks it in the land itself.

Through the season, updates from the field keep you close to the work. At harvest, you hear first. Your oil ships first. Two bottles from your tree, from that harvest, from that grove.

What Guardians Make Possible

Groves Restored to Harvest

Groves Restored to Harvest

Neglected trees pruned back to life. Soil rebuilt. Land that had fallen silent producing again. This is what continuous, year-round care looks like over time.

Fair Wages for the People Who Do the Work

Fair Wages for the People Who Do the Work

The growers, pruners, and harvesters who tend these groves are paid well above what conventional agriculture offers. Guardianship is what makes that possible.

Low-Impact Agriculture, Season After Season

Low-Impact Agriculture, Season After Season

Pruning, soil care, biodiversity work, and restrained harvesting. Nothing that forces the land beyond what it can give.

Trees Without Guardians, Still Cared For

Trees Without Guardians, Still Cared For

A portion of every grove is held in reserve and tended regardless of allocation. No tree is left behind because guardianship hasn't reached it yet.
