Gift a Tree

The gift continues with extraordinary oil.

Their oil comes from the grove where their tree stands, shaped by its microclimate, its varieties and the season. An oil no other grove can give. It's extracted within hours of harvest and verified through certified sensory and chemical evaluation. Two bottles is about what a restored Tuscan tree gives in a year when harvested for quality.

Every oil is curated by Fil Bucchino, international olive oil expert, panel taster and educator, host and co-producer of the award-winning documentary Obsessed with Olive Oil, and co-host of The World of Olive Oil on PBS.

Their words, engraved in olive wood.

Cut from olive wood reclaimed from the groves we restore, then engraved by hand with your words by Federica, an artisan from the grove's community. Once it's placed at their tree, we photograph it and add it to My Grove. They can come to see it in the grove, or take it home to keep.

Traditional olive groves are slow and hard to sustain, and across Tuscany many are being left behind. This gift helps sustain the grove, supports the people whose work keeps it alive, and protects the conditions exceptional oil needs. Behind every tree is a living place that continues because someone chose to care for it.

This is tree 54 at Balatro, between Antella and Grassina, the first grove we brought back into care. Theirs is assigned once your gift is confirmed, wherever one is available, and comes with the same record: its number, its photograph and its exact coordinates.
