Community Reserve 2025
The Season in Balance
Nature never yields in perfect symmetry, and 2025 was no exception.
Across the groves, production varied from site to site, shaped by weather, fruit set, grove condition, and the natural differences between landscapes under care.
Community Reserve 2025 reflects that variation. It brings together the broader structure of the harvest across the groves, preserving continuity for the community while expressing the season as a whole.
Because the reserve is drawn from intentionally preserved capacity within the system, each bottle represents not only the harvest itself but the discipline required to sustain it across good years and difficult ones.

Production
Community Reserve 2025 was drawn from reserve capacity within the harvest.
This includes:
● Trees intentionally held outside of guardianship
● Oil donated to the system by members and custodians
● Preserved production across the groves
Like every oil at Abandoned Grove, quantity followed the season rather than a fixed target.
Harvest & Composition
October 8 – October 28, 2025

Each grove was harvested, milled, and evaluated independently. Only after extraction, testing, and evaluation were the oils brought together to form the Community Reserve.
Production followed the same standards applied across every Abandoned Grove oil. The final composition reflects the structure of the harvest itself rather than a fixed formula.

Sensory Profile
Community Reserve 2025 is balanced and composed. The nose opens with green aromas of fresh grass, almond, and prevalent herbaceous notes.
On the palate, bitterness and pungency rise in measured progression, reflecting the structure of the contributing groves without losing cohesion or clarity.
The finish is clean, stable, and pleasantly persistent.

Culinary Profile
Community Reserve 2025 moves easily between ingredient and finishing oil.
Its balance makes it especially well suited to grilled vegetables, beans, bitter greens, roasted squash, potatoes, and simple legume dishes, where it adds lift and structure without dominating.
It also performs beautifully with everyday proteins such as roast chicken, white fish, grilled sausages, and eggs, bringing freshness and definition to dishes that rely on clarity more than intensity.
With fresh cheeses, young pecorino, and soft cow’s milk cheeses, it brings harmony and length.
This is an oil made for generous use — one that rewards simplicity and elevates the daily act of cooking.
