Welcome to La Torre, our most expansive and diverse grove, a true affirmation of our mission of rejuvenation and growth.

In 2011, we began the rejuvenation of La Torre Grove. Spanning 12.03 hectares and situated at an altitude of 200 meters, this grove required immense effort and dedication. We started by clearing away 70,000 kg of wood and vegetation. Our journey continued in 2013, 2015, and 2016, expanding our custodianship to include 1200 additional trees from neighboring lands.

Our commitment to La Torre deepened as we worked tirelessly to revive this land. The varied exposures—north, southwest, and south—along with its diverse microclimates and altitudes, have always served as a safeguard since our rejuvenation efforts, ensuring fruit even during the most difficult harvest seasons. La Torre is special to us as we host the celebration of the first oil of the season here, uniting families, the community, and cyclists over fresh new oil and food. Moreover, it is the site of our end-of-harvest lunch, a significant event for Abandoned Grove that includes our founding members and all those who have supported our rejuvenation and harvest efforts throughout the year.

Today, La Torre Grove flourishes with 2841 trees, dominated by Frantoio, Moraiolo, and Leccino varietals. We also cherish the unique mix of Pendolino, Olivo Bianco, and Maurino trees. Our involvement with the Olivares Vivos project in 2022 underscores our commitment to fostering biodiversity and sustainability.

La Torre's geographical advantage lies in its varied exposure and its rich array of varietals. We've faced many challenges, but our determination has led to a thriving grove. Our biodiversity controls are vital to us, ensuring a healthy and diverse ecosystem within the grove.

“Abandoned olive groves are more than just trees. They're the storytellers of our past, living symbols of an identity and the biodiversity that makes each region unique, and deserving of our care.”
