Harvest Update 11-13-24

I’m thrilled to share that this year’s Founder’s Reserve harvest is complete!

San Donato, Osteria, and Balatro Groves Reunite.

For this year’s Founder’s Reserve, we are proud to unite our San Donato, Osteria, and Balatro groves in a 49/43/8 blend of Moraiolo, Frantoio, and Leccino olives.

After last year’s absence, our San Donato grove returns, contributing Frantoio olives to complement the Moraiolo olives from Osteria’s second harvest since its revival and the Leccino olives from our Balatro grove.

The olives were carefully harvested at peak ripeness, masterfully extracted in a nitrogen-sealed mill, and double-filtered to preserve their full sensory expression.

As Mother Nature Intended

For over a decade, we've honoured each harvest with a distinctive label; this year is no exception.

For our 15th Anniversary, the 2024 label is an evolution, reflecting our continuous love and devotion to art form, design, rejuvenation, and tradition.

Our initial allocations sold out during the pre-order periods, but limited cases remain should you wish to add more to your collection.

In 2010, we pioneered the region’s first Leccino monocultivar—an idea considered unconventional then, but now a celebrated standard.

Uncompromised & Unbiased

Founder’s Reserve is a bespoke creation shaped by the season, the land, and a team of renowned experts—olive growers, agronomists, certified tasters, and master millers—we believe true artistry demands collaboration.

Though I am an experienced taster, to honour this craft, I rigorously taste and re-taste with some of the world’s best to ensure our quality remains unbiased and uncompromised.

Two Bottles per Year for Each Olive Tree

This year’s Founder’s Reserve yielded just 0.78 liters per tree—about one and a half bottles per olive tree per year.

This reinforces a key issue: current olive oil business models, whether boutique or large-scale, often prioritize quantity and cost, creating win-lose scenarios for communities and the environment by treating olive oil as a commodity.

To counter grove abandonment and profit-only driven practices, we introduced our One Tree, One Bottle program, allowing you to sponsor a tree and receive oil crafted the right way.

To learn more about our program or a thoughtful holiday gift.
It is my pleasure and honour to share this gift of nature with you year after year.

As our community grows, so does our impact—more satisfying meals together, more health benefits savoured, more olive groves rejuvenated, more people employed, and eventually, No Grove Abandoned.

Un carissimo saluto,
